PHILOSOPHY

Kashi is committed to dialogue among all faiths. We believe all paths, followed with a sincere heart, lead to one’s own God within. We welcome you to bring your own faith. We trust through sharing we may learn from each other’s traditions, deepen understanding and build community.

We follow the philosophy of kindness, compassion and service as inspired by the profoundly simple words of Neem Karoli Baba — “Love everyone, serve everyone, feed everyone.”

INVITAtion

Everyone is welcome including those who society tends to marginalize or see as different. People from all walks of life and circumstances are welcome to share and find refuge in love and kindness without distinction as to religion, race, gender, color, creed, sexual orientation or gender expression.

COMMUNITY

Kashi is an intentional, spiritual community where people choose to live and practice in common purpose and mutual support. The Hindu concept of satsang informs our understanding of an intentional community to include the search for truth. Kashi is about living life from the place of an open heart. Swamis, monks, seekers, volunteers, interns, seniors, visitors and families reside on the property.
